Keslie Redel, LCPC, LPC, ATR-BC, RPT™, AS
Keslie Redel’s educational and career background in fine arts and working in direct care led her to pursue graduate education, hoping to combine her artistic talents and passion for helping others. She earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and Master of Science in Art Therapy Counseling from Emporia State University in 2016. Keslie is dually licensed in Kansas and Missouri as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor and is a Board Certified and Registered Art Therapist through the American Art Therapy Association. In addition, Keslie has completed Autism Specialist training through the Kansas Center for Autism Research & Training, completed training to facilitate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and received her Registered Play Therapist™ credential from the Association for Play Therapy. She is consistently inspired and curious, leading to an ongoing drive for seeking continuing education and training opportunities.
Since 2010, Keslie has worked in direct care and clinical capacities in various settings, including vocational job coaching, domestic/sexual abuse agencies, childcare, psychiatric hospitalization, assisted living/memory care, hospice, etc. After graduating from ESU in 2016, Keslie worked for Lakemary Center, Inc. with children and young adults who were significantly impacted by diagnosed intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health challenges. She worked as a therapist in the Children’s Residential Program and, later, provided supervision and leadership responsibilities as the Assistant Clinical Director. In 2023, Keslie established her private practice Creative Resilience, LLC in Leawood, KS, providing art therapy, play therapy, EMDR, and counseling services for tweens, teens, and adult women. She specializes in working with neurodivergent clients and clients who experience anxiety and trauma-related challenges, incorporating playfulness, creativity, individualized support, curiosity, and a good dose of humor into her sessions. Keslie also offers clinical supervision for Kansas LPC’s and art therapy supervision for art therapists seeking their ATR credential. She is a member of the Association for Play Therapy and American Art Therapy Association (AATA) and has presented at the AATA National Conference several times.
When Keslie is not in “therapist mode”, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends (pet family and friends included), playing volleyball, tending to her plants and flowers, reading, going to the movie theater, attending concerts and sports events, and making art. She is excited by animals, singing along to a good song, a fresh set of colorful Sharpies, and a well-crafted dessert.
