Brit Visser, LCSW

Brit received her Master’s degree in Social Welfare from the University of Kansas. Brit knew she wanted to work with children so immediately following graduating, she pursued and obtained her Play Therapy Certificate from MNU. Brit believes in the power of play to facilitate expression and healing and is passionate about early intervention and prevention work with clients. Her studies and experiences have been focused on working with young children and families that have experienced trauma. She’s had opportunities to work within several school settings; providing therapy to children and families, coaching teachers, and educating caregivers.   Brit currently works full time as a Manager, Trainer, and Consultant at Trauma Smart and does part time private practice.  Brit is trained in Play Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and EMDR.

Brit’s self-care includes running, cooking and snuggling with her goldendoodles.
