Advanced Sandtray Techniques

In this play therapy workshop, participants will continue to advance their Sandtray techniques through class discussion, video and experiential work. This workshop will focus on the principles of Sandtray and Sandplay Therapy techniques as it pertains to play therapy and will fill your therapeutic tool-box with skills to incorporate this modality with individuals, couples, families and play therapy groups.
Objectives:
- This workshop will focus on trauma work in play therapy showing techniques central to Sandtray and Sandplay Therapy.
- This workshop will focus on the implementation and importance of Genograms in Sandtray.
- This workshop will focus on common Sandtray and Sandplay Therapy techniques central to couple and family work in play therapy. Topics covered include conflict resolution, healthy communication and boundary concerns.
- This workshop will touch on core Sandtray techniques use in Substance Abuse.
To be eligible for this workshop, participants need to have completed at least 6 hours of introductory Sandtray training.
