Laura Lester has been working in the social work field for over 10 years and has been a play therapist for 5 years. She holds clinical licensure in Kansas and Missouri. Laura has been a Registered Play Therapist through the Association of Play Therapy since 2023.

Laura graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in Speech and Organizational Communication. Deciding that she would like to use her communication skills in a helping profession, Laura went on to the University of Missouri where she earned a masters in Social Work. In addition, Laura has earned a masters degree in business administration from Western Governors University.

Laura has experience working in hospital social work, community mental health, case management, and private practice counseling. Laura is passionate about her work with neurodivergent children and adults as well as their families.

In her free time, you can usually find Laura spending time with her family, reading, baking, or cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
