Kim Krause is passionate about incorporating attachment theories into her private practice. She provides counseling services for children, adolescents, individuals, and families. Along with private practice services, Kim provides supervision and teaches play therapy workshops.
Kim earned a Master of Arts in Counseling degree and earned a Certificate in Play Therapy from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2016. She is certified in EMDR for both adults and children and trained in Theraplay. Prior, she earned a Master of Arts in Social Work in 1995 from Kansas State University. Kim worked for the state of Kansas investigating child abuse and neglect and worked for TIES at Children’s Mercy Hospital. While writing curriculum for her church, she found her passion to study how play is the language of healing for children and families.
Kim’s free time is filled with tennis and football games, hiking to waterfalls and skiing with her four children and her husband. Adventures are her self-care and a continuous connection to play with her adult children.
