Rob Fisher, PhD, RPT, LPC-MO

Rob has worked with children for over 25 years. Since 2003, he has been an elementary school counselor in Liberty, MO. Rob obtained his MA in Guidance and Counseling from UMKC in 2004, his PhD in Counseling and Student Development from Kansas State University in 2014, his Play Therapy Certification from Heartland Play Therapy and his Registered Play Therapy Credential (RPT) in 2019. He has been an LPC-MO since 2017.

He has extensive training in Trauma Informed practices, Conscious Discipline, Solution-Focused Counseling and School Counseling; having attended training with Dr. Bruce Perry, Dr. Rick Gaskell, Dr. Caelan Soma, Dr. Becky Bailey, Dr. Russel Sabella, Dr. Paul Barnes, and Dr. Caroline Stone. Rob has taught as an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Missouri and Kansas State University.

Rob utilizes both nondirective and directive play therapy, sandtray therapy, expressive arts interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Counseling in his work with children and adults. He believes in the power of play to bring about positive change in children
and the adults in their lives.
