Theories of Play Therapy

This workshop is designed to provide the student with a practical introduction to theories that have contributed to the development of Theories of play therapy.

Objectives:
1.  The workshop will provide an overview of theories that have influenced and contributed to play therapy, including Child-Centered, Adlerian, Filial, Developmental and others.
2.  The workshop will provide an overview of developing a personal counseling theory synthesized with play therapy practice.
3.  The workshop will provide an overview of play therapy techniques for specific play therapy theories through lecture, demonstration and video review.
