Special Topics in Play Therapy: Infants, Toddlers & Neurosensory Play
This workshop will provide the participant with a hands-on experience learning about the neurosensory development of young children, attachment principles and strategies to utilize play to enhance development and attachment. Additionally, the workshop will explore the sensory needs of children.
Objectives:
1. The workshop will provide an overview of neurosensory development and play therapy as it relates to early childhood.
2. The workshop will provide an overview of attachment principles through instruction, demonstration and experiential engagement.
3. The workshop will provide an overview of developmental needs, assessment and play therapy approaches for infants and toddlers.
4. The workshop will provide an overview of sensory processing disorders and sensory based play therapy techniques.
