Description:

This workshop is designed to provide the play therapy supervisor a practical guide to help their supervisees navigate their own personal theory with the theories that have contributed to the development of play therapy.

Objectives:

  1.  The workshop will provide an overview of theories that have influenced and contributed to play therapy, including Child-Centered, Adlerian, Object Relations, Filial, Developmental and others.
  2. The workshop will increase the knowledge of multiple play therapy theoretical orientations.
  3. The workshop will increase the play therapy supervisor’s competence in each theory presented.
  4. The workshop will provide confidence to play therapy supervisors in order to navigate their supervisee in their own specific play therapy theory.
