Description:
This workshop is designed to provide the play therapy supervisor a practical guide to help their supervisees navigate their own personal theory with the theories that have contributed to the development of play therapy.
Objectives:
- The workshop will provide an overview of theories that have influenced and contributed to play therapy, including Child-Centered, Adlerian, Object Relations, Filial, Developmental and others.
- The workshop will increase the knowledge of multiple play therapy theoretical orientations.
- The workshop will increase the play therapy supervisor’s competence in each theory presented.
- The workshop will provide confidence to play therapy supervisors in order to navigate their supervisee in their own specific play therapy theory.
