Family Play Therapy

This workshop will review the foundations of Filial therapy, Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) and directive family play therapy techniques.  Case studies and experiential learning will be utilized.

Objectives:
1.  The workshop will provide an overview of strategies for teaching parents to interact positively with their children using play therapy methods
2.  The workshop will provide an overview of parent education and intervention strategies utilizing play therapy techniques, including puppet play.
3.  The workshop will provide an overview of cultural issues to consider with family play therapy.
4.  The workshop will provide an overview of Filial therapy and directive family play therapy techniques.
