Education: Bambi graduated summa cum laude in 2010 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor‘s degree of social work and minor in psychology and received her master’s degree of social work in 2011 from the same university. Early on, Bambi took interest in treating traumatic experiences and has been trained in TF-CBT and EMDR. Bambi then completed her play therapy training from Heartland Play Therapy Institute and received her RPT certificate in 2018 and later her RPT-S. Bambi has specific training in integrating EMDR with play therapy, theraplay principles, and expressive art techniques. She also has training in CBT, theraplay principles, somatic experiencing, person centered mindfulness, expressive art techn iques and sand tray therapy with adults and children.  Bambi has also received a certification in treating anxiety disorders and is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional through ICATP.  Bambi graduated from the 2020 Association of Play Therapy Leadership Academy.  Currently, she is working toward EMDR certification and is enrolled in the somatic experiencing program.

Experience: Bambi has been working in the mental health field for over 10 years with a wide range of experience in treating children, adolescents, adults, and families. Bambi has experience in numerous settings: acute hospital, community mental health center for adults, domestic violence shelter, school -based outpatient clinic, and a day treatment facility for children and adolescents. Bambi is now working at a group private practice in Conway, Arkansas treating both children and adults with a variety of issues.

Additional Information: Bambi is integrative in her approach to treatment but relies heavily on the therapeutic relationship as an agent of healing.  She is passionate about learning and loves to share knowledge and opportunities with others. She offers a relaxed and supportive environment for her supervisees and believes that mistakes can be catalyst for growth and learning.
